We all love Pinterest, and when it comes to design, I think we love it more because it gives us all a chance to take a sneak peek into other people’s lives and homes. Our living rooms, more than any other room in the house is kind of like our own personal design canvas. It gives us each a chance to introduce anyone that visits our home to our own personal style, a chance to display our own unique personalities. The best part about peeking in on others living rooms? There is always a great design idea we can take away and use in our own homes. Here are some of my favorite living room design ideas on Pinterest right now. Hopefully you’ll find something you can take away and use in your space.
Books, books and more books. I LOVE this collection for it’s mismatched look. You know right away that the owner of this home loves to read. This room looks SO cozy to me. The tasseled blanket, the wood coffee table, the warm pillows, the poof, the Morocan rug and natural elements bring so many layers of cozy in here. It’s amazing.

Seek and refined are the words that come to mind when I look at this image. I love the classic black and white photography layered on the mantel, the nail heads on the chairs and the neutral color scheme.
Cool and chic are the words to describe this living space. This very large and overwhelming space still manages to feel warm and welcoming due to the use of great textures and materials like the leather sofa, wood beams and how about that swing?! Who doesn’t want a swing in their living room?
I do not have a green thumb, so I am extra impressed with the number of green plants in this eclectic living room. The artwork is an amazing focal point and you can tell it inspired the color choices for other accessories in this space. I love the driftwood shelf supporting it. The are so many great natural elements in this room.
A room painted this dark gray can have a tendency to feel a bit like a cave if you aren’t careful, but in this space, the use of light linen on the furniture, light wood, great white trim on the windows and ceiling, and a light rug all help to balance this room and make it feel light and airy even with the dark walls. And can we talk about that awesome light fixture?! LOVE it!

If you are afraid of color, then let this living room be your guide to help you break out of your shell. The great use of navy and fucshia with the gold accents is incredible. I don’t know if I am brave enough to go this bold myself, but man, I love it here!
I am ready to move right into this room by Black Band Design. Everything they do feels fresh and modern, while still managing to feel traditional at the same time. The great pattern on the drapes catches my eye first in this room. Drapes are a great place to bring in color and pattern. You can always swap them out when you want to give your room a face lift.

All white walls are definitely having their heyday right now, but I love how the combination of gray and peach in this room makes you feel like it is full of color. This is great inspiration for those that are renting a home or apartment, maybe with white walls that you can’t change. Take ideas from this room and see how you can make a space feel like your own without doing a thing to the walls.
I might be partial to this gorgeous coastal inspired living room simply because you all know I love blue. Living by the coast definitely influences my style, but this room is a perfect example of how no matter where you live, you can make it feel coastal by bringing in sea grass rugs and shades, hues of blue, and natural coastal elements like coral and shells to decorate your shelves.
