I’ve always been fascinated with maps and globes. Ever since childhood, I remember being drawn to the sense of adventure, travel and mystery conveyed by maps. With summer in full swing, travel is on everyone’s mind, so why not incorporate maps in decor? Maps and globes are usually inexpensive, have a range of colors and shapes, look fantastic on the wall and work well to update a bland piece of furniture or accessories. You can frame them, hang them from a dowel, decoupage them onto walls…so many options to work maps and globes into your decor! I like to incorporate maps of places that we have traveled together on vacation into our décor to add a more personal touch to our home. Check out these fabulous ideas using maps and globes around the home.

This 3-D map is amazing!!! What an interesting way to bring texture into a space. I can see this idea used to create so many different shapes and patterns on a wall!
