I cannot let today pass without remembering the li

I cannot let today pass without remembering the lives that were lost on this day, 22 years ago. Every year, I am taken back to that morning like it was yesterday. Pregnant with my first child, wondering what kind of world I was bringing him in to. The feelings and emotions are still raw. I think that it is so important to remember and teach those that do not have memories of that day, what it was like. I had similar feelings standing looking over the wreckage of the USS Arizona last month at Pearl Harbor. As Ronald Reagan said:
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Let us never forget those that gave their lives this day or any other day for the freedoms that we enjoy. United We Stand. #911memorial #unitedwestand #neverforget #911 #september11 #godblessamerica #nyc
