Oh the weather outside is frightful…well at least here it is. It is STILL 90 degrees!! Ugh! I’m starting to rebel by listening to Christmas music and decorating. 😉 A bright orange box of Shutterfly happiness arrived on my doorstep this week and made it a little easier to get into the “Christmas is coming soon” spirit. I’m trying really hard to be on top of things this year and if you can believe it, I took my kids pictures for our Christmas cards in SEPTEMBER! That NEVER happens. It feels really good to have outfits chosen, pictures taken and Perfectly Personal in hand…woohoo! Check that off the holiday list! 😉
Now that the kids are getting older it is finally way easier to take their pictures. Something that used to be a big project, is now a ton of fun. The only problem? I ended up with so many fun shots I couldn’t pick just one…so I didn’t. 😉 I figured, why do I have to order just ONE card style? Fortunately, are so many cute to choose from over at Shutterfly, that I was able to find the perfect card for each of my shots. I created a package of cards, stickers, address labels, and postage that was Perfectly Personal™ for my needs. I have been working with foil printing a lot lately and I LOVE it! It just dials the classiness up a notch on everything. With all the card and personalization options available I was able to create fun shape and trims, mix and match my sentiment options, customize the backs of my cards to match the front, and I used the gorgeous pearl shimmer cardstock option for my cards which the computer screen just cannot do justice. It is GORGEOUS! I am in love with the way that the shape and foil outline on this card perfectly frames this picture.
I’ve been a sucker for gold all year, I’m sure you’ve noticed it popping up in all of my shoots. 😉 The golden light in this picture was screaming for a little glitz! So I added it to the and splurged a bit for the matching , , and the kicker…did you know Shutterfly has ??!! It is seriously the cutest! You can put a picture on your stamps! You know I had to order those!
Typically I gravitate toward cards where the image takes up the whole card, but there was something about these tone on tone green stripes that just looked like a party to me, so of course I had to get some. ;
I think the hardest part about having so many fun cards to choose from is going to be deciding who gets which card. Ash was trying to help me decide… 😉
OK…and now my absolute favorite picture…
I just love how you can customize the back of your too. This red polka background compliments Ash’s skirt perfectly!
If you want to get your cards checked off the list before Thanksgiving too, Shutterfly is running a promotion right now for up to 50% off!
Happy Shopping!

I have been sponsored by Shutterfly to write this post. What does that mean? In this case, Shutterfly has either supplied product or compensation in exchange for me to test out and style these products to showcase just how awesome they are. All products featured are on the blog are items I am truly a fan of…products I would use, places that I would shop, eat, and visit regardless of my affiliations with them. Thanks to the support of these sponsors, I am able to do what I love, and continue to share my tips and ideas with you.
Hello! I just love your photos. Can I ask who took than and where? I’m in Orange County (Irvine to be specific) and this looks like the Open Space Trail. I would love to know more when you get a chance. Thanks!
Hi Lisa! 🙂
I actually took those pictures. 😉 They were taken at one of my favorite places to shoot her in Orange County, Riley Wilderness Park. It’s out by Coto De Caza. It’s a great little spot known by lots of photogs. I hope that helps! 🙂
Have a great day!
