DIY Party Food Ideas: Snowman Party Food Ideas: Mini Donut Snowman

NEW snowman donut 1024

Only one more day until my top secret cold and frosty shoot. 🙂 I’ve been working on a few treats around here and wanted to share. Here’s a super easy, inexpensive (and pretty cute I think) treat that you can make in minutes and is sure to be a big hit! 🙂

What you’ll need: (makes 12)

Package of powdered donut holes (12 count)

Package of mini powdered donuts (24 count)

1 bag of mini chocolate chips

1 bag of stick pretzels

1 bag of mini dot sprinkles in assorted colors

a few candy melt pieces (white is best)

a toothpick

To create the snowman, stack two mini donuts on top of each other, then add a donut hole for the head.

For the eyes, I simply pushed the pointy side of 2 mini chocolate chips into the donut hole where I wanted them to be. Same thing with the arms…just two pretzel sticks that are stuck into the middle donut.

For the buttons: heat up your candy melts in the microwave for about 1 minute, until they are melted. Using a toothpick apply a small dot of candy melt to the back of a sprinkle and stick it to the donuts where you would like the buttons to be. Repeat for all the buttons. Let the snowman sit for a few minutes so the candy melts harden and secure your buttons.

All done! 🙂

For this particular project, I wanted something very simple, but it would be fun to add other embellishments too…candy corn noses, fruit leather scarves, be creative and have fun! 🙂

Enjoy!
Tammy
