Interior Design: Office Nook Update the Before and After

homegoods desk

Ever since I stated working with the HomeGoods pinterest program, I have been super inspired!  It’s been a great motivator to get me finishing all the little projects and areas around the house I have been neglecting.  (I’m sure my hubby’s not too thrilled that my inspiration has also increased his lost of to-do’s. lol! ;))  I was recently challenged by HomeGoods to show how little changes can make a significant impact in your space, and the first thing that came to mind was my tiny little office space in my bedroom.  A few years ago I bought an awesome desk and chair from HomeGoods, but I never really done much with it.  I find myself working downstairs most of the time, so I haven’t paid much attention to that space.  Well, this fall we our making some changes with our homeschooling program which will necessitate me working upstairs more often, so now was the perfect time to finish it off!

Here’s what I nabbed on my shopping trip:

A piece of canvas art

a tray

a few books

a piece of coral

a task lamp

2 white gallery frames

some smaller picture frames

a throw

a poof

My main goal was to inject a bunch of color into the office space.  I am working no-stop on colorful, fun celebrations and design, so I wanted my work space to both inspire me and reflect what I am working on.  I think I accomplished my goal! 🙂

What do you think?  There was one fun DIY project that is easy and only took me minutes to complete…can you guess what it was? 😉  I’ll post a quick tutorial coming up! 🙂

Have a great day!

I have been sponsored by HomeGoods to write this post. What does that mean?  The sponsor, in this case HomeGoods, has given me product in exchange for me purchasing items and styling them to showcase just how awesome they are.  All products featured are items I am truly a fan of…places that I would shop, eat, and visit regardless of my affiliations with them.   Thanks to the support of these sponsors, I am able to do what I love, and continue to share my tips and ideas with you!
