Because I started out as a photographer, one of the questions I get asked most, is “What clothes look best in family pictures?” I know that there is a LOT of stress that goes into picking those outfits and pulling everything together. I just snapped some pictures of the kiddos last weekend for out Christmas cards (yes, trying to be on top of it this year, they still probably won’t hit the mail until Dec. 23rd. ;)) and I thought I would share what I had them wear to help out. 🙂 While these aren’t the EXACT clothes since we pulled some things out of our closets, they are very similar outfits to what I put them in. 🙂
Polo Ralph Lauren Kids Ted Boot (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)
River Island Womens Gold tone double row Alice head band
Ralph Lauren Childrenswear Boys’ Jeans – Sizes 2T-7
Ralph Lauren Childrenswear Ruffled Knit Blouse, Essex Cream, 2T-3T
Johnnie B by Boden Faux Fur Vest (Big Girls)
GUESS Boys’ Plaid Shirt
FOREVER 21 Reindeer Antler Headband
Kenneth Cole Reaction Tough Flake 2 Boot (Toddler/Little Kid)
LAmade Kids Bianca Skirt (Toddler/Kid) – Apple Red-2T
I pulled together a variety of browns and reds for a cheery and earthy vibe. The nice thing is, no matter how many kiddos you have, you can find pieces that match these hues. Some can be in solid red shirts, mix plaids (as long as they have brown and red as primary colors), do a plaid skirt on one little girl and a solid red on another…just have fun playing with the colors and you can’t go wrong. Have fun mixing textures too. The faux fur vest, mix in a tulle skirt on a baby girl…gorgeous! I hope you are feeling inspired and less stressed!! 🙂
I can’t wait to see those cute photos! 🙂
