Spring Blogger Home Tour 2022

I can hardly believe that I’m typing that title! Spring 2022?! How did we get here? Maybe my disbelief is in part due to the fact that we just got dumped on with snow yesterday, so it hardly feels like spring just yet…but we’ll get there! Hopefully, looking at all of the beautiful homes dressed up for spring on this week’s tour will help me get more into the spirit! 😉 I could not be more excited to welcome you here to the blog and celebrate the coming of spring with Marty’s awesome spring blogger home tour. I always find these ideas to be inspiring and refreshing. If you are joining me from Kristin’s gorgeous tour over at White Arrows Home, hello! I am so glad you are here. 🙂 I hope that you enjoy taking a peek at our spring family room.

Blanket | Frame | Vase | Similar Couch | Blue Pillow | Gray Pillow

I made things a bit easier on myself this year. Instead of completely changing all of the decor like I usually do each season, I mixed in pillows and things that I already had, with a few new accessories and shopped other rooms of the house. I’m trying to be better about being more resourceful. Supply chain issues have definitely made me more creative! 😉

I am loving all natural textures and more muted colors right now. I think it feels fresh and clean. And fresh greens…well they always look good with everything!

Frame | Vase | Mirror

A little story about this mirror…for those of you that are familiar with what we’ve been up to this last couple of years, we moved to SLC a few years back. This mirror was over the fireplace of our OC house and I LOVED it. When we moved to SLC I could not seem to find a spot for this mirror in the #1987FixerUpper. For the last 5 years it has been sitting in the basement closet wrapped up under a blanket. Well, we had leak at the OC house right before the pandemic hit, so our renters left and we spent what turned into a year renovating the house (thank you Covid!)

After deciding to wait awhile to rent it back out, I needed to furnish it. I could not figure out what to do with the spot over the mantel and then I remembered that I had my beloved mirror hiding in SLC. John drove it down for me and now it’s right back where it belongs and I love it just as much as I did when I bought it years ago.

Coffee Table | Vase | Woven Boxes

These woven boxes are a great place to hide the remotes and other necessities that we need in the room, but I don’t necessarily want to look at all the time. 😉

The kitchen always gets some fresh greens too. Love me a clean kitchen with a fresh arrangement! 😉

Gray Pillow | Pacific Natural | Wood Beads

I almost always have fresh eucalyptus at the house because it’s inexpensive, lasts forever  (it even looks good dried) and smells divine…but the rest of the plants in the house are all faux. Because we’re not here all the time and we have family and friends staying, I like low maintenance and something I can’t kill. 😉

Side Table | Table Lamp| Tree | Basket

I love this little side table and the blue/gray lamp I found at Target. This is not a large home, so smaller scale pieces are great for it. Every home tour I feel like we get a little bit further along in here. There’s still a lot to do, but we’re getting there!
