Week In Review

Today definitely feels like Monday. I am wiped! 😉 We had a fun weekend around here and sure enjoyed a beautiful Easter yesterday. I am the WORST at getting pictures of everyone on holidays…am I the only one? I feel like the day goes by so fast and we are busy enjoying festivities and then I get into bed that night and realize “oh, shoot! I forgot again!” 😉

John and I sneaked away for a few date nights this past week and it was SO nice! That is definitely one of the perks of having older kids. We have been excited to get to a baseball game since the season kicked off at the beginning of the month.

It was a quiet night at the ball field, which was nice because it was really relaxing. We sat far out in right field and tried the new restaurant there. We got some great apps and enjoyed watching and chatting. They had this giant pretzel that was to die for, I can’t wait to go back just for that! And the nachos…yum!!

It was the weirdest thing. We had this gorgeous day and beautiful night to start out with, and then by the middle of the 7th inning it totally started raining. What?! There was nothing in the forecast, and it was this weird little cloud that we could see blow right over the field. It rained for like 10 minutes and then disappeared and it was gorgeous again. So wild!

I sure do love date nights (actually, any time I can get!) with this cute boy.

I have been working extra hard to get in as many steps as I possibly can each day. I am so grateful for these pretty sidewalks and trails in my neighborhood!

Ash and my friend Jill (my usual walking buddies) were busy most of the week, so John and I squeezed in walks wherever we could after work and throughout the week. Balboa Island is always a favorite spot.

I love all the quirky and cute little things all over the island. This mailbox that looks just like the beach bungalow it serves is so cute…

After seeing all the historical places and plaques in Europe over the years, John and I have always thought it would be funny to get some sort of a plaque for our house. I think I found the one I need…how funny is this?!

Friday morning I hopped online bright and early to get some of the new pillows from Danielle Oakey’s new spring collection. I love them!

Here are the ones I picked up, they are so pretty!

Friday and Saturday were spent getting some projects done around the house, and you guessed it…more walking at the beach! We hit lunch in San Juan Capistrano to try a new sandwich spot, and then continued on to Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and finally Downtown Disney to walk walk walk. I got 16.9 miles in on Friday! Woot, woot! It felt so good. But I’m paying for it a little bit today I think! 😉

Sunday we spent a beautiful morning at church, then had a wonderful picnic at one of our favorite beach parks with some family friends.

It was such a pretty Easter.

I’m looking forward to a week with something fun to announce tomorrow! Can’t wait to see you then!
Have a great day!
