Happy Monday! The temps are soaring and time is flying! Are you having a wonderful summer? I hope so! We’ve been busy cramming as much time in fun with friends and family as we can get! We’ve been enjoying dining al fresco in this space and I have a few things coming to dress it up even a bit more this week.
This week was the week of sales! And several of them are still going! Ash and I headed to the mall to check out all the goodies at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale before things went live on the internet at midnight.

Whenever I’m at the mall here I have to grab lunch at my favorite place…Paradise Bakery. Do you guys have them where you live? They used to be all over the place, but I think now they are kind of dying out. This is the only location I know of in southern CA. I LOVE their chicken walnut salad sandwich and their Oatmeal Raisin cookie is my favorite cookie on the planet. I have been trying to perfect the recipe for ages and I think I am almost there. I’ll post it as soon as I can do the original justice!
Ash and I hit Costco this week and can we just say I about hit the floor when I not only Halloween displays…but CHRISTMAS too. WHAT?! I’m not ready!! How about you? Are you ready to start seeing holiday stuff?!
Whenever we are in OC we try to eat as much Mexican food as we possibly can. There just isn’t good Mexican food in Utah. Sorry UT peeps…Cafe Rio doesn’t count!! We have tried SO many places in UT and there just isn’t anything that compares to CA, so this week Baja Fish Tacos was on our list.
The temps have been skyrocketing this week, so of course we hit the beach to get our steps in. Balboa Island is MY FAVORITE place to walk. It is the cutest little spot and there is so much fun stuff to look at while you walk around the island. The homes are gorgeous, so you know I love that too!

We felt pretty good about getting our steps in…so of course, we earned some tacos. 😉 This time at The Taco Stand in Laguna…another favorite!
I took advantage of the air conditioning and worked this weekend putting together some fun collages of all the things I’m loving right now…check out these gorgeous things currently in stock! So pretty and such a great deal!!

Once it got a little cooler and the sun started to set we ran over to Disneyland to take some pictures for Ash. She is (I can barely say it!) graduating in December. Boo! My baby is leaving the nest! She has been dreaming of senior/graduation pictures at Disneyland in a pink cap and gown for ages. She wanted to make sure she got them taken before all the holiday decor goes up in another month and stays up until January. So, here’s a sneak peek. I can’t believe my baby isn’t little any more!!
I can’t wait for this week. Andy comes back into town for a bit and we’ll get to play! We’ve got camps and birthdays for friends and all kinds of fun things planned.
