Living by the beach, we are always looking for fun beach party dessert ideas and cute beach party table decorations either for parties or our weekly trips with friends to hang out at the beach. I saw some cute beach theme cookies while searching for beach themed party ideas a bit ago and I thought I would try my hand at making something similar. I am always looking for ways to make fun themed foods that are cute and easy, and these beach theme cookies are no exception! Affiliate links are included in this post.
I wish I had thought of these adorable beach themed cookies when Ash had her beach party a few years ago. The pretty pink color would have been perfect with the party theme! They would also be adorable for a Mermaid party or an Under the Sea Party.
When the first Teen Beach Movie came out on the Disney channel, my kids were chomping at the bit to watch it, so, naturally I thought it would be super fun to have a beach themed party the night it debuted. I made some simple DIY beach themed entrees and party foods for the party, and I thought I would share how to make these incredibly easy, no-bake DIY beach theme cookies that look like little clams. They were a total hit with the kids.
DIY Beach Themed Cookies Ingredients
Nilla Wafers
Pink Frosting (store bought or homemade)
White Sixlets (I bought this pack)
How to Make Beach Theme Cookies
Step 1: Frost the bottom (flat side) of one Nilla Wafer with pink frosting.
Step 2: Place a white Sixlet in the middle of the frosted cookie.
Step 3: Stack another, unfrosted Nilla Wafer on top creating a sandwich cookie with a white chocolate pearl inside.
I like to display mine on white platters, and if you want to really play up the fact that these are beach theme cookies, set these cute clam cookies on a bed of brown sugar sand.
Shop some of my favorite white serving platters:
If you can’t find or don’t like Nilla Wafer cookies, you can also use small round shortbread cookies or any type of cookie that you like that is similar in size and color. If you are putting together a beach theme party for kids and want to add a little more personality to these cute beach theme cookies, you can add candy eyes to the top of your cookie like I did here…
This added touch of the eyes was perfect for our Disney themed beach party.
I hope you enjoy making these super cute beach theme cookies! They are sure to be a hit with your guests.
