Happy Christmas Home Tour day! Have you been following along with all of the beautiful tours from yesterday and today? I just love Marty’s tour every year. If you are joining me from Chalking Up Success, welcome!! I am so happy to have you here today to share our Christmas family room decor. I rarely post this room here on the blog because it just doesn’t feel finished. I actually rarely even decorate it for Christmas because since it isn’t finished, I have a hard time visualizing my decor. Is that silly? One thing that has helped tremendously in here is having the built in done. This room is long and kind of skinny, so having a big 20 foot wall that was empty was aa bit overwhelming to work around. It took me several years, but finally getting that installed has made a huge difference!

The family room is not complete without the furriest members of the family hanging out in here, so please don’t mind Jack and Sam lounging around in the pictures…they just always want to be where we are, so it’s hard to take a picture without them in it. 😉
This year I went with…wait for it…a blue color scheme. Shocker, right? 😉 lol! If you know me, you know I love blue, so it always finds it’s way into my decor in some way, shape or form.
I picked up these blue ottomans at Target awhile back and they have made their way around the house until they finally landed right here in front of the fireplace. They are seriously the hardest working pieces of furniture in our house. Side tables, extra seating, foot rests, even a gate to block the puppies from a room or two every now and then…they do it all.
I am a huge fan of these pretty wood trees and houses that double as candles. They are so cute and I love the rustic feel.
I have had my eye on these pretty blue/gray chunky knit stockings for the last few years and they were a perfect fit for this fireplace. I tied a bow on each one with some of this muslin ribbon.
This garland is some of my favorite. It might be hard to get your hands on this late in the season, but if you find it, grab it! 😉 And if not, be on the look out for it early next year.
My usual eucalyptus arrangements get a little seasonal upgrade with some fresh cypress branches.
I use this vase almost every time I make an arrangement. I love it.
One of my favorite views when everything is all decked out for the holidays.
This is my favorite candle of the season…every. season. I buy it in multiples year after year and love it. Get it. You won’t be disappointed!
There it is! Our Christmas family room. I just wish that we could have our homes so full of greenery all year long. It really is what makes everything so beautiful. It makes every room come alive.
I hope that you are feeling inspired by these Christmas touches in the family room this year!

Tammy I absolutely love how all the green looks with the navy blue. Your nutcracker is amazing as is the garland.
Your family room is so pretty with all the blue! I have a lot of blue in my home as well so I love to see how you used it for Christmas. And dogs make the best ‘accessories’! We lost our golden last year and I miss her every day. Seeing your dog in the photos reminded me how they love being in the middle of everything…truly special creatures. Thanks for the lovely tour!
Shelley
I have never decorated with blue. However when I see your beautiful home I am SO tempted! I love the simplicity of your Christmas decor and how beautifully you tied it all together. And your pup!
Wow, Tammy! Everything is so pretty! I love the neutrals with the subtle pops of gray and blue. It’s so calming and perfect for the winter season.
Happy to be touring with you this week!
Your blue Christmas is so beautiful! Love those chunky stockings, and Jack and Sam just add to the cozy ambience! Merry Christmas friend!
Your home looks so festive. The blue cabinets are amazing! Merry Christmas!
I’ve never thought to use blue at Christmas and your beautiful home makes me want to try it! I love seeing how clutter-free everything looks. And I think your adorable fur rug/dog needs a blue collar. 😉 Enjoyed touring with you. Merry Christmas!
Tammy, your family room looks so charming with your holiday touches. You have achieved making a spacious room feel very cozy. Love the blue accents!
Your home is bright and fresh for the holidays. Beautiful!! Love that tree pillow. Our pets do make the best accessories. I could have used those small ottomans last night. That’s such a great idea. Your photos are amazing! Merry Christmas!
Just love everything about your decor — especially the fuzzy pups!!! So simple and elegant and perfect! Oh, and I have that candle in my Amazon cart as I type this!
🙂 Linda
You HAVE to have fur babies on the Christmas tour! Love it. I enjoyed your beautiful family Christmas tour with the neutrals and pops of blue and gray. Your decorating style is so charming Tammy. Happy Holidays!
