I can’t believe the time is here!! I feel like I was just putting all of these fun holiday decorations up and now it’s almost time to take them down. Before I do, I thought I’d give you a peek at our holiday home tour. In years past I’ve had green, brown and gold “fancy” décor, so this year I wanted to do something a little more festive, handmade and vintage feeling. I worked with lots of glitter (of course!), pompoms, chalk art, plaid, the ever popular deer head from the last few years, lots of fresh greens (my favorite every year!) and this year I went a little crazy with temporary wall decals. The snowflakes were so much fun to put up on the living room wall. They transformed the space a bit more than usual and gave it more of a fun, whimsical feel. An eclectic mix of pillows, ornaments and decor from HomeGoods in reds, greens and blues added to the fun and whimsical feel of the house. Here’s what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Cute vintage reproduction signs and candle holders from HomeGoods make this little nook feel very ready for the holidays. Remember the handmade Pottery Barn hack glass glitter ornaments that are so easy to make? Well, here they are on our tree. 🙂
I love to use torn fabric pieces in place of ribbon to give things more of a “handmade” feel. It looks so cute holding our garland on the stair railing. These fresh garlands and greens are a must have from Trader Joe’s every year.
This PEACE marquee sign was my big purchase this year from Grandin Road. I just loved the look of it…and the message. And don’t think I won’t be having a Las Vegas themed party sometime and using the “ace” from the sign to get more use out of it! 😉 I also loved that this décor “theme” if you will, gave me the chance to us my favorite crates and vintage items that I have hanging around the house. I love to find ways to incorporate my everyday décor into holidays.
My great deer head from HomeGoods on the wall gets a red nose to dress up for Christmas.
Beautiful ornaments, felt garlands and a felt ball wreath, all from HomeGoods add to the homespun holiday feel.
I hope you enjoyed our holiday decorations! I have sure enjoyed seeing everyone else’s décor all over social media and the internet.
