Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas for Kids (and everyone else)

It’s hard to believe that we are already getting down to the wire as far as buying our gifts for gift giving. I saw an email pop up in my inbox yesterday that said “Need a great last minute gift?!” I thought, what?! I haven’t even bought ONE gift yet and now it’s already last minute? Yikes! The good news is, that I may not have the gifts bought yet, but I do have 19 super cute and creative gift wrapping ideas for you today! I LOVE wrapping gifts and creative gift wrapping ideas for kids and adults alike makes it even more fun. The pretty papers and ribbons, tags and bows…it’s all right up my alley. I’m like a kid in a candy store when I head into Papyrus or the Paper Source. 😉

The idea that I’m sharing today, along with 18 of my other wonderful blogging friends, is a creative gift wrapping idea for kids, that makes it easy for you to do all the labeling and tagging all of those gifts under the tree, and easy for little kids that can’t read yet, to find their own gifts. Instead of a tag with their name written on it to help gift recipients identify which gifts are theirs under the tree, wouldn’t it be more fun to create a tag with their face on it? I think so!

To make these cute DIY Christmas tags all you need is some cardstock (I use white card stock that I pick up at Walmart to print all of my printables on) some scissors, a hole punch and some twine or tape. Easy peasy!

I simply found a picture of each of my kids and sized it to 2.5 x 2.5 inches in photoshop. Then, I printed off a sheet of these selfie tags.

Use your scissors to cut around each picture, the hole punch to put a neat little hole for your twine in the upper left hand corner and use the twine to tie the tag to your gift…no writing required. If they can’t figure out which gifts are theirs this year, then they don’t deserve to open any. HA!  But in all seriousness, this is one of the best gift wrapping ideas for kids that are too little to read. It makes it super easy for them to find their own presents and that is super fun for them.

Is that easy and cute or what?
