Easy Appetizers for a Party : Cream Cheese and Pepper Jelly Puffs

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to more fun coming up this week!  This coming weekend is all about parties and great food to celebrate the season with family and friends.  If you are hosting or attending a party and in charge of an appetizer, look no further!  Easy appetizers for a party are my favorite because look impressive and taste delicious, but keep you out of the kitchen and let you enjoy your evening…can’t beat that!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Puff Pastry Cups (you can use regular sheets and cut out circles, but I found puff pastry cups in my local grocery store and those were perfect and took even less time!)

Cream Cheese (8oz)

Pepper Jelly (I bought mine at Trader Joes, but you can find it anywhere.  It’s a sweet and spicy combination.)

Directions:

Bake puff pastry as directed on package.  While the puff pastry is baking, warm the cream cheese in the microwave just enough to make it easy to spread…about the consistency of thick frosting.  Put the cream cheese in a piping bag, or a quart sized ziploc bag with a small corner trimmed off.  Once the Puff pastry cups come out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, then fill with cream cheese and top with pepper jelly.  Done and yum!
