Game Day Style

Saturday’s in our house are game days.  We LOVE college football, and our Saturday activities usually revolve around football in some way, shape or form.  Lately with Andy in high school too, game day has been extended into Friday Night Lights.  The High School he attends has crazy football games with tailgating, contests and all kinds of family friendly fun.  I love game day style because it is cute and comfy, which is exactly how I want my weekend wardrobe to be.

For a casual outfit like this game day style, a little accessorizing goes a long way.   I’m in such a warm fall climate, that we still don’t need jackets around here, but if you are watching your kids play or going to a game, it’s probably a good idea to add a like a jacket.  This is my favorite jacket right now and it is 50% off…only $42! And it feels like you are wearing a sweatshirt.  You also might want to grab your favorite crossbody bag in lieu of my favorite hobo if you will be doing a lot of walking.   and a great classic style that will go with everything.  It works with casual game day style like this, or can be dressed up to wear with your favorite dress and heels.  The removeable strap makes it extra versatile, not to mention that it is REVERSIBLE!! That’s like getting two for one!

This week, well actually every week…let’s be real, is all about comfy, casual outfits for me.  Ashley had a field trip this week to go apple piking up in some local mountains here a few hours away, and so I got to break out this fun outfit.

This would be a cute look to add to your game day style if you are a Seahawks fan or a Notre Dame fan. 😉   Nothing here breaks the bank, which is totally my MO.  I love putting together cute, affordable outfits.  Those jeans are on sale for $24 right now, the shirt for $22, and that AMAZING …that is REAL suede?  $39!  It is my new go-to bag for the season.  A kelly green/navy blue combo is always a good idea in my book.  I LOVE the color of that shirt.

My bed should be here in just a few minutes…so I better run and clean out the disgusting layers of dust that have collected under my current bed.  Does this happen to anyone else?  We have wood floors in our bedroom and the dust that piles up under the bed…yuck!  I might die if the furniture movers see what it looks like! 😉  I can’t wait to show you what it looks like…actually I can’t wait to see what it looks like too! 😉
