Host a Garden Party

Spring has finally sprung!  Hopefully those of you in cold climates will soon begin to thaw out and the sight of flowers blooming and sound of birds chirping will warm your soul. 🙂  We’ve been enjoying unusually warm temperatures all winter long, which has been great…minus the severe drought conditions! 😉  We may not be able to brush our teeth or take a shower, but we’ve got great weather. 😉  While I’m still holding out hope for some great spring rain showers, it was nice to head out in the 80 degree temps to shoot these pictures.  Hopefully they will inspire your spring entertaining this year! 🙂

My cute 7 year old helped me set the table, so the silverware might not be in the right place, but we’re going casual here…right? 😉  With good friends and good food…you don’t need stuffy place settings. 😉

I fell in love with these plates from HomeGoods.  The blue just worked so well with the pinks and corals in the flowers.  The gold accents put it over the top.

I mixed in a few shells and starfish I had around the house.  I love bringing in beachy elements.  They add great texture, and shape, while at the same time bringing in a great casual elegance.

My easy DIY gold glittered tea light holders made another appearance. 🙂  Find the video tutorial over on my youtube channel
