How to Host a Cute and Easy Super Bowl Party

I was watching the NCAA National Championship football game the other night and it hit me that we are almost to Super Bowl time! It’s kind of wild for me to think about because last year we had a fun family over last minute to watch the big game, and that was the last time we had people over to our house before things got crazy in the world. I seriously can’t believe that was a year ago. This year we’re still playing things REALLY safe, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a fun time as a family! There is no reason not to break out the Super Bowl party games and the football finger food and enjoy this yearly tradition. If you are wondering how to host a Super Bowl party, here are some great ideas for you.

SUPER BOWL PARTY DECORATIONS

Super bowl party decoration ideas don’t have to be complicated or expensive. You can always decorate with the colors of your favorite football team, but I tend to gravitate toward a color palette of green, white and black. Between the football field and referee stripes, I think this color palette is timeless and perfect for every football party! I LOVE this cute football field table runner. It’s made of faux turf for added fun. I added some cute black and white paper fans, some pompoms in green, black and white, and a few felt pennants I found at Michaels a couple of years ago.

These adorable mini foam fingers were TOO cute to pass up, I added them to some black and white twine and turned them into a little garland. Since concessions are such a big part of any sporting event, I think it’s cute to turn the food table into a concessions stand of sorts. This set is so great for any Super Bowl party. Cute plates, cups decor and more all in one shot! 🙂

FOOTBALL FINGER FOOD

When you’re watching the Super Bowl, I like to plan on a variety of football finger foods and a few heartier choices. People are usually at a Super Bowl party for many hours, and it happens to fall right at dinner time.

Some football favorites are chili, nachos, macaroni and cheese, sliders and hot dogs. I like to serve kid friendly foods, but I also like to elevate things a little bit, without it getting complicated.

A charcuterie board is always a go-to and a great football finger food idea. You can see how to make a charcuterie board just like this one here. It is So delicious, looks amazing and is SUPER easy!

Savory flavored popcorn is delicious too, and so are veggies and hummus. We don’t drink alcohol, so I like to serve fun sodas in glass bottles that feel more special for this special occasion.
