Interior Design: Teen Girl Bedroom Make Over

Hi there!  My name is Claire, and I couldn’t be more excited to be hanging out with all of you Pink Peppermint Design followers!  I have a blog crush on Tammy, so you can imagine my mini freak-out when she asked me to guest post!  I first discovered Tammy on Instagram and then ventured over to her blog and obviously fell in love with all that she does!  (How fabulous is her new brand by the way?!) When Tammy asked me to share something with all of you I immediately knew I wanted to share my little sister’s teen bedroom makeover.  I recently decided to pursue my hobby of Interior Design (with much support from my family and friends), and my sister was my first victim.  Let’s be honest, I didn’t have to do too much convincing to get me the reigns to her room.  I did have to add some pretty to my pleases for permission from our parents!  (Thanks Mom and Dad!)

I will warn you – this post is a little picture heavy, but it is a reveal so I wanted to share all of the details!  Meet Camille and Camille’s new room!  Enjoy!

These dressers were actually a major DIY.  I purchased them from Walmart and added the hardware, legs and painted.  You can find that post here.

This is her desk area.  I don’t know how much studying goes on here…

That would be me on the bottom of the dog pile.  (My sister is on top and my brother is smooshed in between.)  This picture just makes me smile.  Such a 90’s pose… hehe

Love these precious books I found at Anthro.

Thanks for hanging out today!  I’d love to hear from you (you can always find me on Instagram!)

Isn’t Claire fabulous?!  Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us!  This is such a fun bedroom.  Your little sister is SO lucky to have such a gifted big sister!  🙂  Be sure to check out her instagram feed and fabulous new blog!

  1. Great job on you sister’s room!, can you give details and sources? I really loved the curtains, the coral dresser and the white framed artwork especially and would love to know where to get it!

    • Hi Sam!
The bench was a HomeGoods find, and the pillows are a mix from Caitlin Wilson Design, Anthropologie and Tonic Living. I hope that helps! 🙂
      Have a wonderful day!
