Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the Rooms We Love blogger home tour. I hope you are having a wonderful long holiday weekend if you are lucky enough to get today off of work or school! The kiddos are home and we are snuggling up inside by the fire to combat the snowstorm outside. 😉 I wanted to do something different this year for the month of love, so I thought it would be fun to get some of my blogging friends together and share the rooms we love the most. It’s always fun to get a chance to see what my girlfriends think of as their favorite space. If you are joining us from Chelsea’s fun blog Two Twenty One, welcome and thank you for visiting! I love her dining room and it has been so fun to watch her decorate her new home.
When I think of my favorite room in the UT house right now, it is definitely a room that might not normally come to mind…but after a 5 month stretch of living without a washing machine, the laundry room has quickly become my favorite room. It doesn’t hurt that because it doesn’t really necessitate any furniture it is actually one of the few spaces that feels “done” in the house too. I haven’t even done the before and after reveal of this space yet, so this is truly the first time I have shared this room and I couldn’t be more excited! Here’s a look at my current favorite space…
Admittedly the farm sink is not always full of gorgeous flowers…but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw some in there. I drool over those pictures on Pinterest all the time. 😉 If you haven’t seen the other before and after posts I’ve been doing throughout this whole remodel process, then let me tell you that when it comes time for the before and after post on the laundry room I will go into the nitty-gritty detail of how this all came together and share pictures throughout the entire reconfiguration of this space..but today…let’s just look at pretty pictures, ok? I have some slight PTSD from living through all of the construction, so this is a good thing for me! 😉
I am a top loader for life girl and LOVE this new LG washer and dryer. I haven’t had a new washer and dryer in 20 years, and let me just tell you…they have made some serious improvements!
All of the things I wasn’t brave enough to put in the kitchen ended up in the laundry room…hence the butcher block counter tops. lol!
I had Way to much fun with this space. The backsplash is fun and dimensional. The gorgeous patterned tile from Bedrosians has the look of cement, but is porcelain so I don’t have to worry about maintenance.
I really wanted gold hardware throughout the house…but chickened out. So I had fun with it in certain rooms and I could not love that gold faucet more…and it was kind of a steal as far as these things go! 😉
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my favorite room in the house. I spend way more time in the laundry room than I would like to admit, so I figured…why not make it fun and pretty, right? There are SO many gorgeous rooms on this tour and the great news is it lasts through Thursday. With 20 bloggers participating, you are sure to find lots of beautiful inspiration and design ideas. Have you been over to CC & Mike’s tour yet? SO GOOD! Be sure to check out her dining room and all of the other amazing rooms on this week’s Rooms We Love tour. Here is the lineup for the week to make finding them all easy for you!
Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!
