Spring Table Setting Ideas : Blogger Home Tour

There are only a few more days until Easter and that means it’s a perfect time for some Spring table setting ideas.  I made a goal this year to make the blog (hopefully) even more useful than it has been in the past by teaming up with some of my favorite bloggers each month to share blog hops or tours.  I love that you can jump from blog to blog easily and get tons of inspiration all in one spot.  This week you can see 25 different beautiful spring table setting ideas that will hopefully help you get ready for Easter…or just set a pretty table for spring.  I only added one Easter-type touch to my table this year because I want it to be able to last for the next few months…this whole table would be perfect throughout the summer too.  I’ve included affiliate links with everything I used to create this look so you can easily re-create it.  Here’s a look at my spring table setting ideas…

If you’ve been following the blog for a while, then you know I am a HUGE fan of blue and white…if you are new here, welcome!  Let me introduce myself by letting you know I am a huge fan of blue and white. 😉 lol!  You only have to take one look in my kitchen to know that about me. 😉  So, naturally I opted for a blue and white table with some fun pops of color.

These are my new chairs for the kitchen nook.  I can’t WAIT for the table to get here so we can start using them in the kitchen.  Until then, I think they look pretty fun in the dining room too!  This rug used to be in the family room in the CA house, but I am testing it out here in the dining room.

I found these great gold metal containers at HomeGoods a bit ago.  They are the perfect height to create floral arrangements in.  They are not water proof, but it’s pretty easy to turn even non-waterproof containers into perfect floral containers simply by placing a jar that is slightly smaller than the size of the container inside of it.  I prefer a low arrangement at a dining table because everyone can see each other and keep the conversation flowing while still enjoying the beautiful flowers.  If an arrangement is too big, it makes it difficult to talk around and it usually ends up getting moved…two smaller arrangements solves that problem.  I picked these flowers up at Trader Joes.  One pink pack and one yellow and then just mixed them up in the arrangements.

Ok, let’s talk about the silverware placement in these shots really quickly…because it is totally cracking me up.  If you are a pro table setter, then you know why I’m laughing…I’m not by any means…and neither is my cute little 12 year old helper.  😉  I instructed her how to place the silverware…she was so excited to help…and then I forgot to check her work.  I shot all the pictures, and then, late last night as I edited them to have the ready for this morning…I noticed something was not quite right. 😉 . Oh well!  It’s just a fun reminder to me of a cute day spent with a little helper. 😉 . So please excuse my incorrectly placed silverware.  But it is pretty silverware isn’t it? And you’ll love the price!  I have wanted gold silverware for awhile, but I didn’t want to buy a huge set or break the bank.  This inexpensive “buy by the piece” set is perfect for me!

How cute are these napkin rings?!!!  I about died when I saw them and knew instantly they were coming home with me.  I just LOVE them!  They are the perfect addition to this table because they don’t scream Easter, so they can be used all season long.

I feel like I have come full circle with these plates. I very rarely buy new dinner plates.  I will totally buy salad plates all the time, but dinner plates are a once in awhile thing for me.  As soon as I saw these online, I really wanted a set.  What’s funny to me, is that when I got married (a really long time ago) I registered for a set of plates that was similar.  I used them for a few years and then realized the error of my 19 year old ways, and bought some all white dinnerware.  I should have kept those plates, because clearly I liked them as I find myself buying similar ones again, many years later.  These are great plates to use all through the summer.  I picked them up for 25% off, so be on the lookout for a sale.

The salad plates are a new addition too.  I loved the combo of the gingham with the floral.  They come in a pretty grass green as well as a baby blue and yellow too…so cute.  They area also available in dinner sized plates.  It would be cute to mix and match the colors with dinner and salad plates too.  I went with blue because I can use them for so many occasions.  Won’t they be cute with a red and white star plate underneath for the 4th of July?

I could mix patterns all day long.  It is one of my favorite things to do.  I picked these striped napkins up to go with the rest of the table setting.  I love the contrast of the stripes with the gingham and floral prints on the plates.  The blue ties them all together.
