If you’re headed to Southern California this summer, I have an activity to add to your itinerary. 😉 I grew up going to the Del Mar Fair (now re-named the San Diego County Fair…ugh) and it is always a favorite summer activity for me. I love the fair for the pictures, sights, sounds and smells, and now that I’m an old mom…for the home shows. lol! A few reasons I love the fair…

The livestock and pig races (clearly not Ashley’s favorite!!) 😉

TIP: If you’re thinking about making a trip to the fair, check with your local Costco. They were selling ticket packages at ours that included food, ride tickets, entrance tickets and parking for less than the regular cost of admission!
If you’re visiting Southern California this summer, check on the dates for the San Diego County Fair and the Orange County Fair to see if the dates line up with your travel dates. I think these two County Fairs (in particular San Diego) offer something so unique in that they are right on the coast. You can smell the ocean and feel it’s gentle breeze while you eat your cinnamon roll. That makes for a special fair experience in my book.
