TUTORIAL: DIY Cookie Jar for Party decorations, Party Favors or Cute DIY Gift

This little DIY cookie jar is so cute, easy and inexpensive to make!  They are the perfect thing for your next cookie exchange, cookies and milk baby shower or birthday party (how cute would they be in favor size??) and even as a gift.

You will need the following:

-a round jar/vase in any size you would like to make your jar (you can find these at Michaels or Walmart or similar stores.  I found mine at Michaels for $6 and used a 40% off coupon to bring the price down.  Mine is about 7″x7″)

-the base of a terra cotta pot that fits the opening at the top of whichever jar/vase you choose (again, find these at Walmart, Michaels or similar.  Mine was $1.48)  You’ll turn it upside down to use as a lid on your jar.

-a wood ball with a flat base.  You can find these in the wood crafting section of Michaels/JoAnns/Hobby Lobby etc.  Get one that looks like a good size for your lid

-spray paint in your choice of color

-glue (you can use good tacky glue or e6000

1. Spray paint the wood knob and terra cotta lid

2. Once the paint has dried glue the knob to the lid

3. Fill with Cookies

and you’re DONE! 🙂  These are SUPER cute in miniature size!  Don’t forget to check out our FREE cute teacher appreciation week printables that go with this cookie jar…

enjoy! 🙂

Happy crafting!
