Ok, admit it…how many of you are fans of ABC’s The Bachelor or The Bachelorette? With the number of seasons that it’s been running…I’m pretty sure there are a lot of you out there!! 🙂 With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching and the premiere of The Bachelor featuring the much talked about Juan Pablo, I couldn’t resist putting something together. 🙂 I called in one of my secret weapons…the uber talented Marianne of PoseyPop and threw out my ideas. Fortunately , she was on board and made some killer floral arrangements and awesome custom chalkboards for the shoot. I envisioned something romantic and gorgeous, and wanted it to be versatile. So, even if you aren’t a bachelor fan, you could find inspiration from this party for Valentine’s day, bridal showers and more. If you are a bachelor fan, hopefully you’ll find the humor in a few the elements incorporated into this party. 🙂
Sticking with a romance and love theme, I chose a color palette of reds, pinks and gold.
A few easy DIY projects helped make this party beautiful and fun. Easy glitter votives, rose topped brownies, glittered pom pom martini picks and chocolates in gold wrappers looked expensive, but cost pennies and only took a few minutes. If you’d like a tutorial for the rose brownies, check out my instagram feed or facebook page. Tutorials for the chocolates and glitter votives coming soon to instagram and facebook as well.
I have seen so many beautifully styled bar carts online lately. I love them because they are a fun and easy way to bring in some color, whimsy and fun décor items. Bottles in and of themselves are so gorgeous, they look fun when you can mix and match colors, labels and shapes on a tray. I don’t own a cart, so I decided to do my own take on one with an end table I have in my home. It gave me the look without adding the cost.
What would make the best party favor for a Bachelor themed party? How about a mini take out box with a ring pop inside? To add a bit of humor, I attached a glittered “Neil Lane” tag to the box handles. They always make such a point of showing off the Neil Lane logo inside the ring box on the show, I had to do something! 🙂
Finally, I created some Bachelor themed printables for the party guests. A game card gave guests the chance to place their bets for the season, picking a top 4, top 2 and winner for the season, along with their guesses for who the show “villain” will be. They could also make a call to determine if they think the relationship will go the distance, or if not, make a guess about how long it will take the relationship to fizzle. It was a fun way to get people talking and interacting with the show.
