Week in Review

Rainy days and Mondays…we’re getting a little more rain around here today, but I’ll definitely take that over the snow that is falling in SLC and the 7…yes you read that right SEVEN degree temps. Whoa!  That is too much for me! I hope you are looking forward to a nice week wherever you are. I can’t believe that we hit February this week! The year is already flying by and we are getting closer and closer to spring! Yay! I don’t know about you guys, but I am excited for longer, sunny days ahead. I had to snap this picture the other day. It looks really far away in the picture, but this is one of my favorite times of year around here. When I look to the northeast I can see these amazing snow capped mountains and when I turn around to the southwest I can see the ocean. There are a lot of things that I don’t love about CA these days, but it’s still pretty hard to beat that!

Fortunately, I’ve been getting to fill my sunshine bucket a little bit with a few beautiful days between cloudy days here in OC. I just love getting out for my  6 mile walk everyday. I don’t always feel like I want to go, but then when I get out and feel the sun on my  face it is all worth it! 🙂

With John out of town it’s been fun to spend evenings out and about trying a few new places to eat…and some old favorites with our bffs and walking buddies.

I’ll never get enough sunsets at the beach! This week we headed to San Clemente one night and Newport on Saturday. It was a little cloudy both evenings, but I’ll take what I can get! 😉

I’ve been getting these cute little updates from my boys all week. They are living their best lives and having tons of fun together. Those little boys in the back seat are too cute. 😉

I went to a local Target this week and they were SO stocked with Studio McGee stuff! Tons of things that I haven’t been able to find at other stores! I couldn’t believe it.

It was fun to see some of the things in person. Here are a few of my favorites:

I’m always on the hunt for cool looking objects that look pretty on shelves. Love this piece!

How cute are these lamps? I am obsessed. I also love this darling lamp.

These pretty vases (they aren’t Studio McGee, but Threshold) come in three sizes and are awesome! So many uses for them all over the house and for every season.

This bench is really pretty. Looks even better in person than it does online.

A few more pretty things…

Saturday night we tried a little spot that I’ve walked/driven by a thousand times on PCH in Corona del Mar and never actually eaten at. It was cute and a fun gathering spot for locals with good food (not life changing, but good!) and a cute cape cod style build out.

There’s this darling photo wall across the street. The lighting was terrible, but I had to snap a few pictures of this cute girl anyway. We’ll have to go back during the day!

What are you working on this week? I am working on some before and after posts and some travel posts. Both of those always take me so long to write but I’m working hard! I have a list a mile long that I’m trying to get up in the next few months. So many fun things to share! 🙂

I hope that you have a wonderful Monday on this 45th of January. 😉 We’ve almost made it friends! Bring on the month of love!

Have a great day!
