As you’ve probably noticed, I’m slightly obsessed with garlands. 😉 Anything hanging from the ceiling or on the walls really makes it look like a celebration. Whether you’re throwing an actual party, or just celebrating life and wanting to bring color into your space, you can’t go wrong with a garland! Here’s a quick and easy garland you can make in minutes with just a few supplies. Don’t let the sewing machine scare you! This is literally as easy as sewing a straight line. 🙂 Affiliate links are included in this post.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Felt Circles ( this awesome machine will cut them for you…have you tried it? Warning, you will want one when you see what it can do! But, you can buy circles pre-cut as well if you don’t want to invest in a machine.)

I used three different colors and three different sizes just to make it a little more interesting…but you can do it however you like. Make it a little different for each one you make just to make it more interesting. 🙂
Start sewing with your machine and simply feed the circles through the machine one at a time. I like to leave a few stitches in between each of my circles, but again, you can overlap them, leave more thread in between…whatever you think looks fun!
I like to make mine about 6 feet long. (which is about 60-75 circles 😉 ) They are SO easy and so fun…and very inexpensive to make. If you don’t feel like making a garland, here are a few of my favorites you can buy! 😉
I love this one because it’s SO versatile…a piece of chalk takes this from Christmas to Birthdays and more…
And just because I’m obsessed with everything she does, here is one of my favorites. 😉
Happy Celebrating!

What type of die cut machine do you use to cut felt?
Hi Melissa! I use my old school sizzix die cutter. 🙂
I hope that helps!
