Interior Design: Gorgeous Dining Room by Hello Lidy

I’m SO excited to introduce you all to Lidy from Hello Lidy today!  Do you know her?  If not, add her to your list of “must visit” blogs and social media accounts.  I fell in love with this gorgeous dining room of hers and asked if I could share it here with you all…here’s a little from Lidy herself…

Our previous home in California was such a fun project for my husband and I to work on. It was our first home (ever) and so our budget was quite small. We also had a major design dilemma – for me anyway. The dining area was actually part of the living room, which made up one giant area in our home. Some may love the open design concept, but for me it felt cramped and confused. We decided to give the dining area a makeover a few years after we moved in. We opted for a more formal look by adding subtle geometric wallpaper. We kept the color palette to white, black and pops of gold to keep the space feeling light and airy! To keep the room from feeling too stiff, we incorporated a lot of DIYs, like our hexagonal dining table, chandelier and numbered chairs to allow for those personal touches. In the end, I was so happy with the transformation!! It’s one of those rooms I really enjoyed and sure do miss – especially after our recent move from California to Canada. We will never be able to replicate that space quite the same, but it’s nice to try new designs and ideas. I am just so thankful for the memories we have of this space with family and friends!
