Pedestal Tables for Every Kitchen and Every Budget

I have been on the hunt for the perfect pedestal table for out kitchen nook. It is more than time for us to get something new. The cute little table we currently have has been our table for the last 8 years. I picked it up for free as payment for a photo shoot for a designer at the time…so it was never my favorite…but it worked. It has served as our family dinner table, photo shoot prop, craft table, and schoolhouse table for way too many years…and it shows. I feel like I have probably seen every pedestal on the market now so I thought I would do a round up for you of my favorites with affiliate links for easy price comparison and shopping. 🙂  There are some great price points on several of these tables…one of them is even under $500. Amazing! That is another thing that has come as kind of a surprise to me…just how much price can vary on these things! So many of them look so similar, but the prices can swing widely…like over a $1000 or more difference! WOW! Because this table is going to be in our kitchen, with kids making slime on it, coloring and doing homework on it, eating every messy meal on it…you get the idea…I really don’t want to spend a fortune. I also want something that can hold up to the everyday use and cleans up easily.  There are SO many pretty, natural wood tables on the market right now, but I need something with a finish that will be fairly durable.  I might brave it and go with something with a wax finish for the dining room since it will be there mainly to look pretty and not get used. 😉  I go back and forth between a few different styles.  I know a few of these aren’t technically pedestal tables, but they wound up here anyway because I love the bases on them and they are in the running. 😉 When it comes to my own house it is so much harder to make decisions! lol!

Here are the few I have narrowed it down to…

pedestal tables

I want something unique and a bit different.  The base on our current table is almost identical to this one which is a great classic look, but I think I want a little change.  Since our floors are a natural white oak I am trying to decide if I want to match the floors (usually I like a bit of contrast), do a two tone with a white base and natural wood top, or go all white.  I really like the base on this table, the combination of colors, and the price can’t be beat! I know a few of these aren’t technically pedestal tables, but they wound up here anyway because I love the bases on them and they are in the running. 😉  The one that is giving me the most trouble is this table.  I LOVE it!  And on sale, it would definitely be on the higher end of my budget…but do-able.  I am looking at regardless of the table I end up with (again, waiting until they go on sale!) and I think they would look amazing with that white table.  The table would be the perfect more modern element in the kitchen, while the chandelier and chairs would tone down the modernity a bit and help it mix with everything else in the house.  This one is similar, but with a more rustic feel and I like it too.  It’s also an extending table, so if you need more seating, it would be perfect.

Here’s an idea of what it looks like with similar chairs…

Pretty, right?  Decisions, decisions!  I really don’t think I can go wrong with any of the above…I guess I’ll keep you in suspense until I order and can style the new table! 😉 . Which of these are your favorite?  If you were putting a table in the #1987FixerUpper kitchen, which one would you choose?

You can click on any of these images for more information about each of the tables if you are on the hunt like I am! 🙂 If you are going to buy a new table, don’t forget to take advantage of sales and deals like “15% off your first order if you sign up for our email list” that is one of my favorite ways to save on something if I am too impatient to wait for a sale.  Almost every retailer seems to offer some sort of deal like this, so be sure to take advantage! 🙂

If you’re hunting for chairs too, here’s a round up of some really fun, affordable dining chairs.

Have a great day!
