Week(s) in Review

Hi friends! Happy Monday! It’s been a minute! I popped in last week to share a few quick updates to Ashley’s room, but it has been a crazy few weeks and I’ve been neglecting the blog. oops. 😉 The funny thing is, I spend the majority of each day creating a ton of content…pictures, design boards, prepping new projects etc., but I barely have time to get all that info here. HA. Funny how life works. I’m working on it though! Tons to share!

Ash and I ran back to Utah for a few weeks and these cute boys picked us up at the airport with our favorite drinks to surprise us. I always crack up when I see that GIGANTIC 100oz mug of soda. John knows me too well.

Ash had a fun segment to film for Studio 5 on KSL, so exciting!

I was under the weather so I didn’t get to go watch her live…thank goodness dad came to the rescue! She made the cutest St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes.

We ran down to stay in Provo for a bit because I’m getting geared up to get moving on the Alumni House remodel next month and things have been busy, busy with all kinds of appointments.

The boys always love hanging with the college kids. Jack loves it especially because it’s the one place I let him lay on the couch…that is until everything is re-done. lol! 😉

These are a few of the fireplace samples. I’m going with a cast concrete surround this time. Something clean and a bit on the modern side. I think it will work well with the rest of the design.

It has been snowing SO much!!! Rain in CA and snow in UT…we can’t escape it. The boys sure love it though! They could play ALL day in the snow!

We went out for a snowy adventure in Woodland UT to try out the Woodland Biscuit Company. It came highly recommended by a friend in OC and did not disappoint!

They serve super yummy breakfast but are only open Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast/brunch.

They open up reservations for the weekend the Monday before and they a re VERY limited…only between 9-12:30…so grab one if you can!

The restaurant is in the most darling old store front. I love historical buildings.

This picture kills me. One of my favorite parts of being so close to school and Andy is the ability that these cuties have to spend time together. We got a text from Andy Monday morning that the school bookstore was having a great sale and we should come check it out before everything was gone. He works at the bookstore and wanted us to come visit him at work….which I LOVE. So we headed on over at the end of his shift and then he invited Ash to come to his classes with him. She stayed and hung out for awhile and then I headed over to pick her up. When they walked out of his dorm, they were wearing matching outfits. DYING!!! They just make me smile! Love them so much.

The snow has been so good this year for skiiers…we were lucky enough to have our dear friends from OC come up to ski for a weekend. Ash and Josie have literally known each other since they were born and they just have the best time together. We always love when their family comes to visit.

Before Ash and I headed back to OC I ran down to take Andy to lunch. Love these moments that we get to spend together.

Wednesday it was back on plane to take the birthday girl to celebrate at her favorite place for the weekend.

It has been SO rainy, but we lucked out and Friday and Saturday were gorgeous! It made our day at Disney so nice!

If you know Ash, you know she LOVES pretzels. Probably consumes more of them than anyone I know! 😉 First stop was a giant pretzel from Pym’s test kitchen.

Some of our dear family friends joined us for the day. It has been so fun to watch these girls grow up together. I can’t believe how old they are now! Time flies!

Ash may love the pretzels…for me it’s the churros! YUM!! No one makes them like Disneyland!

What a better way to spend your Golden birthday than with your favorite celeb. 😉

And of course she made herself a darling cake…with a hidden Mickey. lol. She makes me laugh.

So we are now fully into birthday season in our house. It will be a busy few weeks and then I’ll get the rest of the year off. lol!

I can’t wait to start sharing what I have planned for the Alumni house with you later this week. Lots of fun things coming!

Have a wonderful week!

Tammy

xoxo
