It’s the middle of October already! Can you believe it? I feel like I start out each holiday month feeling like I’m getting a head start on decorating, and then poof! Before I know it, the month is already half over and I am only partially ready. Today, I am teaming up with 6 of my blogging buddies for a Halloween Home Tour. These are all talented women with all different takes on Halloween design ideas, which I love! Lots of inspiration in one place. From sugary sweet to sophisticated and spooky, this Halloween home tour has it all. If you are joining me from Chelsea’s blog, Two Twenty One, welcome! I am lucky enough to know Chelsea in real life and she is truly one of the funniest and nicest people I have met through this whole blogging journey. I look forward to every chance I get to see her each year.
On this Halloween Home tour I wanted to share our Halloween entryway decor. In my opinion, this is the most important spot for decorating (maybe next to your porch) because this is what those cute little Trick or Treaters are going to see as soon as you open the front door to hand out candy. You may have already seen our Halloween living room decor ideas, well our entry way is right next to our living room, they are one big open space, so I have to make sure and have both of these spots ready to go come October 31st! 🙂
This great tray from HomeGoods has come in way handier than I ever thought. I knew I loved it when I bought it, but man…taking it through a couple of seasons I realize just how versatile it is and I love it even more. It makes the perfect piece to ground the Halloween decor on our entryway table.
Is anyone else as obsessed with these birds as I am? They are so realistic looking, and I think the perfect halloween decor idea for any space. You can pick them up at just about any craft store. Living in Southern California, these black crows are everywhere and they are always flying through the sky in giant masses. It’s quite a sight to see and always makes me think of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.
I perched an extra bird on the newel post watching over everything. I think it adds to the element of spooky and kind of carries the Halloween decor throughout the entire entryway with just that little added touch.
I also added this awesome black birdcage that I found at a few years ago. They have amazing if you are on the hunt for any. Much of it is on sale right now too and you can still get it in plenty of time for Halloween!
I get questions about these candlesticks ALL the time. They are another purchase that I made a few years ago and may just be one of my favorite purchases ever. They make the perfect addition to my Halloween decor every year, in any spot. They have this year that I think are SUPER cool too. I’m picking up a set to have on hand for next year. I think candles look a lot spookier when they are dripping and look used. It is next to impossible to find drippy candles any more though, so I have to make my own. I wasn’t quite as patient as I normally am when I made these candles, but by burning them and holding them you can twist them around and force the wax to drip down the sides and onto other candles. It helps give that spooky look. Just be careful not to burn yourself or let hot wax fall onto your fingers! I have learned that the hard way!
A simple ceramic skeleton and a small gave stone, complete this simple, yet kind of spooky Halloween decor. I also add black roses and filler to a few vases I have around the house at this time of year. I love the look! Spiders make everything spookier too, so a little bit of webbing and a couple of spiders placed strategically over our hallway paintings makes them instant Halloween decor!
I hope you enjoyed the Halloween decor in our entryway! Be sure to check out our Halloween living room, and I’ll be back with our Halloween family room mantel later this week. You don’t want to miss the next stop on the tour over at Annie’s house. Her blog, DIY Decor Mom, is always so inspirational. I had the pleasure of meeting her at this year’s Better Homes and Gardens StyleMaker event a couple of weeks ago and she is so sweet!

Oh I love it and your crows are so fun. That birdcage is a great addition too.
Thanks so much Marty! I can’t get enough of those spooky birds! 😉
Tammy this is a truly SPOOKTACULAR tour! Thank you fo very much for all your hard work. I will be promoting the tour on social media today.
Thanks so much for being a part of it Laura! I love all your fun Hansel and Gretel decor! 🙂
Hi Tammy! This is such a beautiful and spooky Halloween entry! If I were trick-or-treating at your house I would certainly want to come in and look around. I agree that the entry is the spot to concentrate on. With all this rain I didn’t get a chance to share mine in today’s post, but I usually line my staircase with pumpkins and candles and it makes a great first impression for Trick-or-Treat!
I also love those crows! I always use them somewhere in my Halloween decor every year. You have put together a simple and elegant Halloween look. I can’t wait to check out all the rest of your Halloween decor! Your Halloween graphics for your posts look amazing!
I hope you will get a chance to come over and link up some of your beautiful Halloween posts at the Hauntingly Beautiful Decor Link party too! The party is live every Sat.-Wed. in October.
