There’s nothing I love more at Halloween time than a spooky drink or spooky treat….you know…gummy body parts or something served in a black cauldron with candy eyeballs…that sort of thing. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays…you can probably tell by all of the Halloween content on the blog.
It’s funny because I don’t really love scary movies or haunted houses, but I love a fun Halloween recipe. I have thrown many Halloween parties in my day and I like to always keep everything family friendly, so Halloween mocktails are always a hit.
If you are looking for an easy recipe for non-alcoholic Halloween drinks, you have come to the right place. These spooky Shirley Temples are super easy to make with just a couple of simple ingredients.
The syringes are a big hit and add a little magic and to these drinks. They are the perfect Halloween drink recipe for the whole family.
ITEMS YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS FESTIVE DRINK
– 2 liter bottle of Lemon Lime soda (like Sprite or 7-UP) or Ginger Ale
– Ice cubes
– Grenadine
– Maraschino Cherries with stems
– Plastic Syringes
– Cocktail Glass (I used high-ball glasses similar to these)
– Marshmallow Fluff, Honey or Corn Syrup
– Red Sugar Sprinkles
HOW TO MAKE THESE HALLOWEEN-THEMED DRINKS
To Add A Sugar Rim to the Glasses:
- dip the top of your glass in honey, marshmallow fluff or corn syrup
- roll in red sugar sprinkles
To Make the Drinks
1. Add a small amount of grenadine to the bottom of each glass
2. Add regular ice to the glass about 3/4 way full
3. Add two cherries to the top of your glass
4. Pour your lemon-lime soda in the glass also about 3/4 full
5. Fill your syringes about 1/2 of the way full with grenadine
6. Add a straw
7. Set a filled syringe across the top of your glass
