The Leta Santa Barbara Hotel Goleta CA

When you are browsing the internet, what makes you stop in your tracks and say WOW!?  What is the #1 reason you choose a place to stay, a restaurant to eat in, or a store to shop in?  If you are being honest, it is probably the way it looks, am I right?  The hotel looks cool, the restaurant looks fancy, the shop looks trendy, the displays are amazing, the food looks delicious, it all just looks good.

A few weeks ago we headed to Santa Barabara, CA or Goleta to be more exact.  We had a chance to spend the night at The Goodland Kimpton Hotel, which has now been rebranded as the Leta Santa Barbara Hotel, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. It was the epitome of California cool.  An old motel, turned super hip hotel.

Beautiful design is everywhere and in case you haven’t noticed, I love to share beautiful design. I also love to travel, eat and shop. 😉

I often pick a place based on the design…reviews are important too of course, but if I’m looking at multiple places and they all have similar amenities and reviews, I’m definitely picking the hotel that I gravitate toward based on the design.

I admittedly forgot my real camera on this trip, so these are all iphone pics…not quite up to my usual standards, but they will have to do!

What do you think?  A pretty cute place right?  I could hang out in the cozy lobby forever.  The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta was a fun place to stay that didn’t break the bank. It was conveniently located to shops and restaurants and a great place to stay while we visited UCSB.

Do you have a hotel, restaurant, shop or some other destination you think I should check out?  Let me know about it in the comments, or send me an email at tammy@pinkpeppermintdesign.com I am always on the hunt!
