Hosting a Brunch Party : Creative Brunch Ideas for a Crowd

Brunch is my favorite meal of the day.  I love finding new great restaurants that serve brunch near me or great brunch recipes.  Hosting a brunch party when the weather is nice is even more fun.  With Mother’s Day next weekend and the fun baby showers and bridal showers that spring and summer bring, I am always on the lookout for new and different brunch ideas, especially creative brunch ideas for a crowd that still allow me to enjoy being a part of the party.

So, I took one of our family’s favorite breakfasts and snacks…the parfait…and turned it into a party.  A parfait bar is the PERFECT brunch idea for a crowd.  This creative brunch idea is something that can be made ahead of time, is relatively healthy, is totally customizable by your guests, the presentation is beautiful and it’s EASY!  How does that sound for hosting a brunch party with ease?  I will be using this idea when we have guests staying with us too!

Fruit, flowers, pretty glasses and spoons create a gorgeous and simple table setting.  It is so fun to set an eclectic table!  Here are a few of my favorite pieces for serving and setting a table right now:

I used the following items for our parfait bar:

Various flavors and types of yogurt (strawberry, peach, vanilla, greek, etc.)

Strawberries

Blackberries

Bananas

Raspberries

Blueberries

Almonds

Homemade Granola

Coconut

You could add other things like flax, chia seeds, pineapple, peaches…the possibilities are endless.

I stuck with a color scheme of blues, yellows and greens for my dishes.  I just used things that I had around the house and placed sliced fruits in pretty bowls and on plain white platters.  All of the colors of the fruit and fresh flowers, with the various shapes and sizes of dishes created a very pretty food table and will make hosting a brunch party so much less stressful!

There is something about a bright, colorful array of fresh food that gets guests excited.  I think it’s the same reason we like to go to farmer’s markets so much.  It gets you excited about eating!  Guests had fun customizing their own creations.  It was like eating a sundae for breakfast.  Eating it with pretty silverware is even more fun.  Check out these amazing spoons from Anthro…I am in LOVE with them!  I’ve rounded up a few other of my favorite flatware sets right now too…
