Cute ideas for a DIY Valentine Carnival Party

I was browsing through old pictures the other day and couldn’t believe that I haven’t shared this party here yet!  It is being featured in Mingle Magazine this month, and was SUCH a fun one to do.  You already know I love all things Valentine’s day…the cheesier the better, and this party is no exception.  I found all of these cute mustache and strong man items at World Market, and had to use them for something, so this party was perfect!

I found these cute little popcorn buckets in the Target $1 bins.  These cute little valentine tickets are available in the Etsy shop.  I attached them to the popcorn containers with a cute mustache clothespin from World Market.  It’s all those little additional details that make a party feel really special.  They don’t take a lot of time, or cost a lot, but they make a party look like a million bucks!

I made favor bags out of mustache printed bags from World Market and red and white striped party bags from Hobby Lobby.  A little washi tape, some felt hearts that I cut out, and the tickets and mustache clothespins were final touches.

Red and white polka dot straws, gumballs and of course coordinating Diet Coke cans were fun additions.

Chocolate mousse added to the top of Oreos and topped off with a Wilton candy mustache were easy little treats to make.

  1. How fun is that?! I would never have thought to combine the strong man stuff with a Valentines theme but it totally works. Very unique. And the color combinations are great – red and black is one of my favorite colors combos.
