The BEST Pumpkin Bread Recipe With Streusel Topping

It doesn’t take much to encourage the fall baking around here. 😉 Last week temps finally dropped below 95 degrees and we had a few sprinkles, so of course it was time to break out the best pumpkin bread recipe and get cooking! I like to add as much fall flavor to whatever I can, so I topped this pumpkin bread recipe with a streusel topping for texture and extra yumminess, but this pumpkin bread recipe is good with or without the streusel, so take your pick!

This pumpkin bread recipe takes about 10 minutes to whip up and then it bakes for about an hour to help your entire house smell like fall amazingness.

I like to use these disposable bread pans for ease of clean-up when I’m making this pumpkin bread recipe or any quick breads. They aren’t terribly expensive and they make gifting a loaf really easy.

This pumpkin bread recipe is made with lots of fall spices and only needs one bowl to mix everything up. It is so moist and delicious and FULL of flavor.

EASY PUMPKIN BREAD INGREDIENTS:

  • pumpkin puree (just the puree…not the pie filling that already has spices added)
  • flour
  • eggs
  • water
  • vegetable or canola oil
  • brown sugar & granulated sugar
  • baking soda
  • salt
  • vanilla extract
  • spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves)

This pumpkin bread recipe will stay moist for several days, if it lasts that long, due to the amount of wet ingredients (pumpkin, water, oil etc.)

This recipe makes two 8×4 loaves and usually a few muffins. Be sure to only fill the pans roughly 2/3 full. This bread rises like crazy and I’ve had it overflow in the oven if the pans are filled too much. You also need room for the streusel topping on top. This will leave you with enough pumpkin bread mixture to make about 4-6 muffins as well.

I spray my pans with cooking spray and the bread comes out of the pans easily after about 10 minutes out of the oven.

I know this sounds crazy, but this pumpkin bread is even better the day AFTER you bake it. The flavors meld and the bread has a better texture. I love that this recipe usually makes a few muffins too because if you just can’t wait to eat it as soon as it cools down, you can eat the muffins and then save the bread for the next morning!

Have you seen enough yet to know that you need to make this pumpkin bread? You could always add some chocolate chips too, if needed. 😉
