What I love about this dip recipe:

– You can prep it ahead of the big game! Make this spinach artichoke dip up to 2 days before your party. Simply mis the ingredients together and store it in the fridge until you need to bake it.

– It is SO fast!! This is such an easy recipe. In just 30 minutes you can be enjoying it!

– In a pinch? You can make this recipe in the crock pot too! Add your ingredients to the slow cooker, set it for two hours on high and forget it! Mix it all together at the end and serve.

Ingredients needed for this Spinach Artichoke Dip:

– Frozen Spinach: Simply thaw it and squeeze out the excess water before you add it to your dip. You can definitely use fresh spinach if you have it on hand. Just cook fresh spinach on the stove with a little water and let it cool, wring out the water just like you do with the thawed frozen spinach and use in the recipe!

-Cream Cheese: I use Neufchatel instead of cream cheese for a slightly healthier recipe

– Artichoke Hearts: I always used canned for convenience. I’m sure you can cook your own, but I have not done this.

-Mayonnaise

– Sour Cream

– Shredded Parmesan Cheese

– Mozzarella Cheese: You can use Monterey Jack cheese too.

– Minced Garlic

– Salt

– Pepper

– Hot Sauce: Just a splash of your favorite for extra flavor and a little heat, but totally optional.

Tips to Make This Amazing Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe

– Drain your spinach and artichokes REALLY well. After you’ve drained them, let them sit for a few minutes and see how much more water you can squeeze out. You’ll be amazed.

– Shred your own cheese. You can use pre-shredded, but if you shred it yourself it will melt better. All of those cheeses together creates so many great layers of flavor.

– Taste before you add salt. Cheese can be pretty salty on it’s own, so make sure you don’t over-salt your dip.

– Watch carefully to make sure it doesn’t cook too long. It won’t be as creamy if it does.

Add this delicious recipe to your catalogue of dip recipes. It is sure to be a crowd favorite!

The Best Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Party Dip Recipe

super bowl dip recipes

This amazing cheesy dip will be your new favorite for game day parties and any events where you need a fabulous appetizer.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce pkg. Frozen Spinach
  • Canned Artichokes (drained) 12 to 14oz can
  • 8 ounce pkg. Cream Cheese or Neufchatel Cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup shredded White cheddar Cheese (divided)
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Tobasco or other hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Thaw your spinach (I use the microwave) and squeeze all the liquid out of it. Cheesecloth work great for this if you have some, if not, you can do it by hand or with another towel. Set your drained spinach aside in a bowl.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine your softened cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, 1/2 cup of your shredded mozzarella, 1/2 cup of the white cheddar, the grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and hot sauce. Mix until well combined.

  • Drain chopped artichokes and fold into mixture. I like to rough chop mine to make them a little bit smaller pieces.

Add your drained spinach and stir until combined.

Spread your dip into an 8 x 11 pan and top with your remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

  • Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or bread.
