Shopping: Troop Beverly Hills Inspired Living Room

A few days ago I was perusing some of my favorite sites and I stumbled across this inspiration board over on One King’s Lane:

Did you ever watch Troop Beverly Hills as a kid? That is what came flooding to my mind instantly when I saw this board. Everytime I’m up in LA and pass by the Beverly Hills Hotel, it’s what I think about. If you haven’t seen it…definitely check it out with the kids! I love how fresh and sophisticated this color palette is. The pink chairs leafy palm accents and hints of gold…gorgeous.  You can’t help but feel like you’re on vacation when you step into a room like this!  So I came up with a little board of my own with a little twist.  I had to add some of my favorite Navy in there. 🙂

OK, are you dying over those navy club chairs with the pink welting like I am???  I wish I had room for those in my living room!  Pair them with this pink tufted sofa and you will have a room to talk about! The button tufting and great curves in a bright color are a great contemporary update to a classic.    I have been dying to put this rug somewhere and it would be the perfect addition to this space.  If I can’t put it in my living room, at least maybe you can put it in yours. 🙂

Flamingo and abstract botanical palm art, along with a few whimsical pillows like this one will give you a tropical feel.  Add some cabana stripes on chairs or pillows and you will feel like it’s always a day at the beach, no matter the weather outside. 🙂

I love the shape of this mirror.  The strong curves will really make a statement on your wall.  The square links on this table lamp add to the room’s classic yet contemporary vibe.  Finally, what vacation (or room evocative of a vacation) is complete without a sassy bar cart full of pink lemonade, cabana striped straws and the fixings for other frosty beverages?  A styled bar cart in the corner makes a room look like a party might break out at any time.

Palm Beach, Beverly Hills…whatever you prefer to call it, this is a vacation in your living room. 😉

Happy decorating!
