Pretty Summer Kitchen Updates with Walmart

It is hot, hot, hot around here this week. The heat of summer is in full swing! How are things where you are right now? Did you catch my stories a few days ago with the fire in our neighborhood? When it gets this warm out and the fires start it definitely gets a little bit nerve wracking around here. The firefighters were so awesome knocking it out in a few hours and protecting all the homes. These warm summer days are the best time to make sure you are staying hydrated and what better way to do it than with a cute little lemonade station in the kitchen? Ash and I popped into Walmart last week for some of our usual staples and of course I left with a cart full of stuff…can anyone else relate? 🙂 You can find the cutest things you need all at Walmart Home, to set up your very own drink station today!

When I designed the kitchen at the OC Ranch Reno, I created this little nook between the pantry cupboards with exactly something like this drink station in mind. I added open shelves here with the intention of displaying seasonal decor and making it a functional little space. It’s actually turned out to be my favorite feature in the kitchen. We use it SO much! And it looks pretty to boot! Definitely a win. When I saw all these cute citrus themed summer products at Walmart, I knew they needed to be in this space!

I am in love with this cute “cold drink” dispenser. It looks like it’s begging to hold some lemonade, right? It’s such a fun piece to display in the kitchen. I also enjoy it filled with ice cold water and sliced limes and mint too. It’s super refreshing and I find myself drinking a lot more water everyday when it is right in front of me, looks pretty and is infused with some yummy flavors. It makes drinking water seem more exciting.

These cute, bright yellow bowls have become a hot commodity in our house. They are the perfect bowls for a late night cereal snack. They are deep and generously sized and hold lots of fruit loops…I mean, not that I know from personal experience or anything. 😉 They come in several colors too so there are lots of options to match your kitchen. With cereal bowls though, I always think it’s fun to have a colorful assortment when I open the cupboard.

Pretty glasses are a weakness of mine and these fun teal tumblers were a must buy. I added the cute yellow striped straws to an online Walmart order. These days things are so convenient with free pick up in store or make your life even easier with a free 15 day trial of Walmart+. With all this heat we have been LIVING off of salads. I love that I can whip something up without heating up the kitchen. This gorgeous wood bowl is perfect for a family sized salad. This antipasto recipe is a favorite of ours.

We use these white bowls more than plates in our house. They are technically pasta bowls, but they are essentially big plates with a lip on the edge so you are less likely to spill…which means for my family who loves to eat on the couch, they are pasta bowls, salad bowls, sandwich bowls, chicken and mashed potato bowls. 😉 You get the idea. They are super useful…and I love that they are classic and white and go with everything.

These pretty mango wood bowls are some of my favorites for fruit and veggies that need to stay out of the fridge. It has a wood exterior, but an enamel type interior, so if one of your pieces of fruit gets a little soft it doesn’t damage the wood. You can easily clean the bowl. They are great for sides and salads too with their pretty interiors.
