It is time to deck the halls and I couldn’t more excited to kick off the Christmas decorating ideas with these 19 other talented bloggers to share all of our Christmas kitchen decorating ideas. The kitchen truly is the heart of the home, and especially at the holidays when it is full of baked treats and delicious meals. I look forward to hosting these tours every so often because I love sharing what my fellow blogging friends are up to. If you are joining me from Chelsea’s blog Two Twenty One, welcome! Chelsea always decorates with such bright, fun, classic decor. I love them classic red and white. And if you didn’t see the post with her playroom tree…make sure to head back and check that out too…it’s darling!
If you saw my Christmas living room decor ideas and family room decorating plans, then you know that I am working in pink and red. The kitchen is kind of a transitional space between the two of those rooms, so it has little hints of both colors…of course mixed with navy! 😉 . Affiliate links are included in this post.

Since I had recently switched out our decor in the kitchen for more fall/neutral looking decor, I kept a lot of things the same and just added some simple touches to the kitchen. A bit of ribbon, a couple of wreaths, some pops of plaid and some fresh plants…always fresh greenery and poinsettias at the holidays!
I added these cute trees around the house, like this one on the island. This tray has been my favorite for several months now, and I always have this candle somewhere in the house because the scent is just too yummy. Every year I pick up a couple of European trees at Trader Joes to put around the house, I often re-pot them in containers I love like this one. It makes them look a little more special I think. 🙂

Last year I used fresh wreaths on the backs of the barstools…and I loved it, but they died so quickly! I have done this before in CA, and I think the humidity there helps the greens stay alive longer. In UT, the air is SO dry, they just don’t hang on very long. I will probably add some later, but for now, I just bought a couple of faux wreaths at Hobby Lobby and tied them around the kitchen. I bought a little set of ornaments in the colors of the rest of the decor and added them to the wreath to dress it up a bit.
I have had this rug in the kitchen since it was finished several months ago. For the fall I swapped it out with this neutral jute rug because it works well with the reds and pinks. I just ordered this new runner to add in January. I think a rug is such a great way to totally transform the look of a space and you can usually find great ones that don’t cost a fortune…especially on sale! These frequently go on sale and are some of my favorites.

Treats are a staple in the kitchen this time of year. 😉 This little treat looks pretty and doesn’t even take much time. It’s a store bought cinnamon coffee cake with homemade whipped cream and raspberries. So delicious and easy!

I love to see a sneak peek of the dining room all decked out for Christmas from the kitchen. Over the next week I’ll be sharing the decorated family room, living room and dining room…so be sure to come back and see them all! 🙂

Hi tammy, Okay did I miss where those cute plaid plates are from? And, that oven! Can you share the brand? Thank you! Your kitchen is so neat and pretty! laura in CO
Hi Laura! Aren’t those plates fun? I picked them up at Pottery Barn in the spring and unfortunately they don’t carry them anymore. I am sad because I wanted to add to my collection! 😉 The oven is a thermador and I love it! I think of it as the jewelry for the kitchen. 😉 Have a wonderful day!

I just love your kitchen Tammy! And they way you decorated it for Christmas is stunning!
I love your kitchen, it is such a great space with so much wonderful counterspace. That gorgeous blue island is such a great accent. Those little trees are such a perfect Christmas touch and that tray with the beautiful cake really caught my eye. Love it all. I can’t wait to see the rest of the tours. Thanks so much for hosting.
Oh I really like all the natural touches you added. The gingham plates and gold measuring spoons are calling my name!
HI, Tammy, thanks for putting the tour together! Your kitchen looks so cute and festive for Christmas. I just love your large kitchen and that island! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
