Delicious Peppermint Bark Recipe

Peppermint bark is one of the reasons I get up in the morning during the gloomy days of winter! Creamy white and milk chocolate topped with crisp and cool peppermint is a dreamy, delicious way to spread holiday cheer! This Peppermint Bark recipe is so simple to make, you don’t even need those tricky little plastic molds to create darling shaped bark. Just cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper, place metal cookie cutters on the paper (I used a simple heart shape), and fill first with milk chocolate that’s been melted in the microwave (about a 1/4″ thick). Chill til set and then top with melted white chocolate (another 1/4″ layer). After the white chocolate is just freshly poured, sprinkle the top of the shape with peppermint pieces. They come readily available at most grocery and craft stores during the holidays. Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least an hour. When everything is set, hold the cutter by the edges over the parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Push gently from the bottom until bark starts to loosen, then push down from the top, until bark is released.
